Re: Does Ariba OD support Bulk Load Receiving?
Re: What's the difference between the Ariba P2P and Ariba P2P(FPC)?
Ariba P2P FPC (Federated Process Control) allows more enhanced data sharing and data segregation for multi-ERP customers. It has a Parent and Child architecture where Parent site stores data generic or ERP agnostic and Child sites store data specific to ERPs, transactions are initiated or maintained at the child sites. Parent site allows cross site reporting or shared catalog content, you can read more on our FPC product documentation. Ariba P2P standalone application does not support multiple ERPs, it's suitable for single ERP implementations or customers ready to consolidate data from multiple ERPs into a single ERP structure.

Ariba x Hana integration connector
Hi Ariba Experts
Ariba x Hana integration would use the same connector currently known (SAP NetWeaver PI) for example or we would have to use a different one for this type of integration?
Im mean would be possible to connect Ariba x Hanna without SAP PI ?

Marcel H.
Re: Detailed Line Item information in Sourcing Reports

Integration of SIPM with SAP ERP
Hello
Will anybody help me by providing documentation on how we can perform configuration for integrating SIPM with SAP ECC without MDG-S. We deployed CI7 but we can not perform vendor master integration as we don't have documentation which can tell us steps without MDG-S component.
Re: Can I get information on what are the chnages with current Ariba SIPM and contract module as compared to old version.
Hello Hari Babu
Would you share documentation on how we can configure SAP ECC EHP7 with CI7 to integrate vendor master with SIPM without MDG-S. We downloaded CI7 transports but CI7 Integration document tells about activating MDG-S component and we want to make this integration without MDG-S.
Re: Event Status
Hi Manikantan
Hope below thread can help you to some extent !
Sourcing Events Pending Publish Approval (https://knowledge.ariba.com/go2/1,,135925,00.html)
Issue
Customer called because she has two events that need to be published, but are currently pending approval. The approval flow contains a group called Sourcing Approver, which contains only two contacts, both of whom have Ariba email addresses. The Sourcing Approver group cannot be edited and removed from the flow.
Cause
A group in the approval flow contained no users.
Solution
Follow these steps:
- 1. Check the related group (Sourcing Approver) to see if there are any users or not.
- 2. If there are no users in the group, then, add one.
- 3. Act As the added user and approve the task.
- 4. Now, events will be published.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Case 1:: Events Stuck in "Draft" Status After Publishing (https://knowledge.ariba.com/go2/1,,127914,00.html)
Issue
Events (Request for Proposal (RFP) and Auction) stuck in "Pending Publishing Approval".
After reviewing the corresponding templates, I noticed that the Task exists, but is not required so I deleted the task as it is not required at Bed Bath & Beyond.
The Events get stuck in "Draft" status after Publishing, even after deleting the task.
Is there any parameter to be set ?
Solution:
Add ‘Application.ACM.Base.Data.AribaSystemAppUserEmailAddress = "noreply@ariba.com";’ in the parameter table.
Re: I can get guides about testing for Ariba modules Contract or Procurement
Hello Kiran
Do you know what is the difference between Contract Management and Contract Compliance?
Re: Chart legend values
Hi Liga, you cant change the scale of the Y axis as far as I am aware (hopefully this is included in a future enhancement as it would certainly be beneficial). Option A is to either exclude/filter out the item with the 2000 count, then the scaling will be different and your chart will look nicer (but obviously missing one important element of data), option B is to include the data label, i.e. select 'Value' under data label on 'More Chart Options'. It will then insert the number above the bar/column, e.g. 127.
Neither option are perfect but that's the best you can do for now.
Cheers,
Ben
Re: Document Choice
Hi Nishanth, a Document Choice Document (or DCD) allows the user to select which document to use from a list. This could be a list of template document, e.g. MS word files, or it could be a list of sourcing events. The advantage of DCD's are that you can link your review, approval etc. tasks to the one DCD on the template, rather than having to create conditional elements and multiple tasks for each possible document selection.
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers,
Ben
Ariba Sourcing Integration without using SAP PI/PO
Hello
Our customer needs to integrate the RFQ from MM Modulo to Ariba Sourcing Project and once is awarded create a contract or PO in MM.
I cannot find documentation on how to implement this requirements without using SAP PI.
Can anyone help me on this topic?
Re: I can get guides about testing for Ariba modules Contract or Procurement
Hi,
Contract Management allows you to create and store contracts for your organization and:
• Enables sales teams and procurement to create and maintain contract workspaces to enable you to buy and
sell goods and services.
• Includes negotiation, to do, review, and approval tasks that allow you to collaborate with internal or external users to review and revise contract information, including workflow notifications for reviewers,
approvers, and negotiation participants.
• Stores contract documents and has search capabilities to access these documents, and allows you to upload supplemental documents into your contract workspace.
• Uses templates to enable you to create new contract workspaces using approved contract documents and business processes.
• Integrates with Ariba Contract Compliance
Contract Compliance
If your Ariba Contract Management is integrated with Ariba Contract Compliance, you can create the following documents to link your contract workspace with an Ariba Contract Compliance contract request or
contract.
• Contract Terms link. A Contract Terms link document links an Contract Management workspace withan Ariba Contract Compliance contract request (or contract). Creating a Contract Terms document creates an associated Ariba Contract Compliance contract request from an Contract Management workspace. A
Contract Terms link document also contains data shared between the workspace and the Ariba Contract Compliance contract request (or contract), such as the supplier.
When you first create a Contract Terms link document, it is named Untitled Contract Terms. You can have only one Contract Terms link document per contract workspace. You do not need a Contract Terms link document if you do not want to push pricing terms or other contract data from a contract
workspace to a compliance contract request.
If your Ariba Spend Management solution includes the Ariba Contract Compliance feature and you want to associate a subagreement with a procurement contract workspace, the master agreement must be published so that it is identical in both Contract Compliance and Contract Management before you associate the subagreement with it. This restriction does not apply to sales contract workspaces
If Ariba Contract Management is integrated with Ariba Contract Compliance, each non-administrative amendment of a contract workspace that contains a Contract Terms document also triggers a new version of the corresponding contract in the procurement application
hope this will helps, for more details please gothrough the contract management guide.
Thanks
Kiran
Re: Chart legend values
Hi Ben,
Thank you for your suggestion. I have opted to change the chart from column to pie chart...that kind of helps a bit better to display values.
Best regards,
Liga Veips
Re: Ariba Sourcing Integration without using SAP PI/PO
Right now this is not possible without PI. Sorry.

Re: Ariba x Hana integration connector
Hi Marcel,
let's talk business first: What is the business process (or part of that process) that you would like to integrate? This will determine what type of interface makes sense to use. For example, if you wanted to integrate Ariba Network for the Purchase Order to Invoice process with SAP S/4HANA, there is an S/4HANA scope item pre-defined for this. You'll find it at http://service.sap.com/hybrid> Procurement > S/4HANA, or for the on-premsie edition of S/4HANA go to http://service.sap.com/bp-s4-ariba and for S/4HANA cloud go to http://help.sap.com/saap/library/factsheets/J82_S4HANAX_EN_DE.htm.
With S/4HANA, no middleware is required, the integration with the Ariba Network is natively built into S/4HANA. Planned scope items for S/4HANA integration shall address Invoice to Payment on the network, and Sourcing.
If you were going for integration with SAP HANA, on the database level, you may want to consider using the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, with its built-in integration services, formerly known as SAP HANA Cloud Integration (HCI), as a mediator and connector. Check out this blog, too: http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/cloud-platform/blog/2016/04/29/sap-hana-cloud-platform-integration-services-when-to-use-which-tool.
As an SAP Ariba partner with ambitions to develop own applications on top of Ariba and SAP HANA you may want to check out this partner page on SAP HANA Cloud Platform and the apps you can build with it: https://www.sapappsdevelopmentpartnercenter.com/en/get-started/cloud-applications/
Please let us know your scenario and we can probably provide for more concise support. Thank you.
Add document for Closed Events?
Hi Ariba Experts,
We have a requirement to add the document for the closed events (Quick Project). We know we can achieve this in full sourcing project. But our requirement is very specific to Quick Project.
Is there any way we can achieve this?
Please also suggest workaround if any.
Thanks & Regards,
Neelanarayanan
Re: Ariba Sourcing Integration without using SAP PI/PO
Hi Juan, you need something in the middle to convert/transform/map the IDOC output to the cXML QuoteRequest. Likewise with the returning cXML QuoteMessage, it needs to be converted for the RFC/BAPI in SAP to create either the PO or OA. You could do this with other middleware products, but there will be a bit of custom dev to make it work. The advantage of using PI is that it is 'somewhat' plug and play, the mapping & transformation is taken care of by the Ariba Network Adapter.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Ben
